SCR9/11 Holds “Scouting Night” For Local Scouts BSA Troops
The 9/11 Remembrance Foundation had the opportunity to host local Scouts BSA troops from around the midlands, including Troops 111 and 343, in efforts to educate scouts on the purpose of the 9/11 Remembrance Foundation, Tunnel To Towers, and other efforts for First Responders and Military Service Members. Firefighters from the Columbia Fire Department had the opportunity to attend and present to scouts the importance of First Responders and Military Service Members, as well as the importance of remembering and memorializing the attacks of September 11th, 2001. Scouts received information packets and were given a tour of the Midlands First Responder and Military Service Member Memorial, as well as the 9/11 Survivor Tree Sapling in Columbia.
